A warning about Methotrexate.

I have had two ectopic pregnancies, with both I was given a shot of methotrexate. The methotrexate did nothing and I lost both tubes and with the second pregnancy they had to take an ovary :_( Has anyone else had an experience similar to this? I can't help wishing that I had just asked for Laparoscopic Surgery in the first place. Then I might still have a chance to conceive naturally. The loss of that god given gift to women is really pulling me down and eating at my soul.

I am very sorry for your losses (((HUGS))) I lost my right tube with my ectopic but not all of what you have.

There was a lady who use to post on here that lost both tubes to an ectopic's and then had a 3rd ectopic that ruptured her uterus. But she is not on her anymore b/c she is busy taking care of her IVF baby boy that was born earlier this year.

It royal sucks to be robbed of your natural ability to make a child! I was very worried about my fertility when I lost my tube. But it really helped me to talk about it on here and just know I was not alone.

I hope you will stick around. The women on here are great and very caring. And it is a great place to just get it all out! Please PM if you need anything.

My heart is aching for you. I'm truly sorry this happened to you!

Can I ask how far along you were when the shots were given to you? How many shots were you given? How often was your doctor checking your hCG levels?

In my case the shot was a life saver as a D&C was a very dangerous option for my situation. My baby had implanted in my cervix.

Sending you BIG HUGS!!
