I try and make healthy choices and use healthier substitutes for my favorite meals. Right now I've been trying to just maintain for a bit to give my body a break, but I plan to kick things up a bit and work on losing again soon.

My eating plan is a mix of things. I eat 6-8 times a day so that I maintain my energy levels and don't have drops or spikes in blood sugar. I focus on making sure I eat enough to meet my energy needs by following a formula to determine my basal metabolic rate and adding in calories for activity, so that I don't go so low in calories that I store fat. I have to maintain a minimum of 65% carbs so that I have the energy to complete my daily activities and 20% protein to maintain muscle mass. I try to only do healthy fats, but no food is off limits. If I crave something, I will have a taste or a single serving. If I don't, then I'll go nuts from the cravings so having a taste is a good thing in that it keeps me from eating a whole tub of ice cream! LOL

My eating plan is simple really. I just try to cut out the crap and make healthier choices. Instead of white bread - I eat wheat. Instead of that chocolate bar I want, I will eat something healthier. So to me, my plan is all about choices. Do I want to be overweight and not happy OR do is my choice to be healthy and around for awhile? And it works for me.
