I grew up as an active, athletic person, so most of my inspiration comes from inside. But, after 13 years working as a professional wrestler, it was the work ethic of the guys I knew in that business who really inspired me to join a gym to lose weight after having kids. That's how I fell into training as a profession, because I hired a trainer and found out he wasn't certified. So I fired him and took the certification myself. I achieved the results I wanted within a month of taking my certification (after 6 months of working with an uncertified trainer and not seeing results). Next thing I knew, I had a client base built up and had to quit my full time job because I didn't have time for it. LOL
I've also had some people close to me that I lost because of their lack of fitness. My son's father died at 35 from heart disease. My Grandmother died at 56 from congestive heart and lung failure. My Mom died at 53 from a stroke brought on from untreated high blood pressure. Anytime I don't feel like working out, I look at my kids and think of Mom, Grandma, and Brian and know that I want to be here for them for a long time. It gets my butt up and moving every time!
