So, short version of what's going on with me... I have an acute ear infection, coupled with symptoms of Bell's Palsy (weakness/paralysis of facial muscles). Last night I went to the ER for this and that was my diagnosis. I spent a wonderful 10 hours away from my DD, had little to eat, and I'm dead tired. But anyway, 2 days ago I had weighed myself and I was at 184. Today I weigh myself and I'm 181. Did I lose 3 lbs in 2 days because of the infection? What the heck? Can anyone explain the dramatic difference to me?
My weight fluctuates 2 or 3 pounds depending on whether I weigh in the morning or at night. You definitely could have lost 2 lbs due to illness. I have lost 4 or 5 in a week when I am sick. The only bad thing is some of it could be water so it might come back when you are feeling better. My weight varies like that so I try to only weigh once a week (or at least only count the weight that I weigh once a week wearing the same clothes or for me usually I weigh in bra & panties and first thing in the morning or the same time of day anyways).
