I got a heart monitor and it has really helped me to get in the right zone for my cardio stuff. Anyhow, I've been logging all my food and exercise online with the calorie burning tools and they were way off! Based on what I was entering it calculated me at 490 calories burned. My watch when it tracked my heart rate put me at 750 calories! That's 250 calories difference. Wow, think about how much food you can eat!

LOL! Thats why I love my heart rate monitor. Which one did you get? Is it programmable to you so you can set your ranges, etc.? Thats what I love about mine. It is programmed so that it beeps if I am over or under my target heart rate range so I know whether to slow down or speed up, etc. Mine also tells me an estimate of the percentage of those calories that came from stored body fat. Yeppers! My favorite reading!

It's a Polar brand, one of the lower priced models. Sorry don't remember the exact model. It does beep, but I turn it off because I don't want to annoy the people next to me at the gym with all my beeping. I just figured out how to fix the range on it to the numbers I got from my trainer with the fitness test so maybe I'll turn it on next time. It doesn't tell the percentage of body fat either, but it does tell me when I am in my target range which is cool and it does flash the calories as I go so I can aim for a certain number of calories if I want.
