What kind of diet are you following? Do you track your caloric intake? What kinds of meals do you make?

I'm getting bored with my meals, so looking for some new ones!!!

I'm cutting fat and calories.. I keep track of my daily intake on MyPlate website.

My favorite thing right now is putting everything on a Honey wheat wrap..

I'll spray a pan with some PAM Olive oil.. slice some onions, yellow (red, green) bell peppers, and then throw in some sliced up chicken breast.. it cooks in minutes and BAM! (I sound like Emril.. LOL ) .. I've eaten my carb, protein, and veggies all in one.

and for lunch.. I kinda use the same concept, except I use a Whole wheat pita bread.

I spray the pan with Pam, slice some onions, peppers, broccoli (if i have some left from the night before), cook until the veggies are tender, then drop 2 egg whites.. cook for like a couple of minutes and dump it all in my Pita. Delish! (you can throw in any veggies you like.. just remember to cook them first before you toss in the egg whites cuz the whites cook super fast.)

With my two kids (and I know some of you gals have more).. I feel like i'm always on the go. So, I dont have the luxury of sitting down and cooking up gourmet stuff.. so as long as I get my protein, veggies, and carbs in.. I'm good to go.

Hope I gave ya some ideas.

I am a nut. I am tracking everything lately. I'm mostly trying to get in 100 grams of protein and at least 25 grams of fiber. I also am aiming for 2 fruits and 3-4 servings of veggies a day.

Thanks Ana! I'm not a big veggie fan...but I'm trying really hard to eat fruits/veggies at every meal. I had a wrap for lunch with lettuce, tomatoes and tuna...it was pretty good!

Oh, that is a fantastic idea! I have done the whole veggie and chicken thing and even the eggs and veggies, but you just got me thinking of all the things I could add to my breakfast. Imagine veggies and eggs for breakfast! Awesome!

They are called omlets and they are fantastic! LOL Seriously, I love doing up eggs with veggies and putting it in a whole wheat or spinach wrap for a breakfast burrito. A little salsa is great on that too! I do omlets, oatmeal, eggs and toast, etc. for breakfast. I also love wraps for lunch. I grill my chicken and mix it with a low fat or fat free dressing (Kraft has a ton of fat free flavors) then throw it on a wrap with lettuce, tomato, etc. I also like to saute my chicken and veggies in a little chicken stock instead of frying with oil. My absolute favorite though is the crazy parm fried chicken. I love southern fried chicken, but hate the fat that goes with it, so I use boneless skinless tenderloins and cook them from frozen. I'll spray a pan with Pam or coat with a thin layer of stock and put the tenderloins in frozen, then sprinkle with grated lowfat/fat free parm to coat. Keep sprinkling the cheese everytime you turn the chicken so it makes a coating on the chicken that browns like traditional fried chicken. DH likes it just as well as deep fried, but it is really low fat and high protein.

As for my plan, I go by my body composition and my activity level to determine calorie needs and try to eat in that zone with the pyramid recommendations of servings of each food group. My problem is that I'll quit logging and not eat enough protein.

I started making a wrap with eggbeaters and salsa a few weeks ago...and kinda fell off with that. I also found that vegetarian refried beans (fat free) are super yummy on a wrap with lettuce, tomato and salsa for lunch.

Ditto to Nicole. I'm tracking calories and trying really hard to get veggies and fruits in my diet everyday. It's hard work!

tracking everything took over my life. I find that as long as I am exercising and I am reducing and eliminating eating out, i am still losing. I eat better foods and make sure i eat breakfast, get in some fruits, i always get in protein. I eat my veggies...so overall i think it's helping and i eat what i like (but i like veggies and things like that)
