Now I know this won't be 100% accurate, but I thought it'd be fun to try it out. I put my heart monitor on at about 9pm last night and am leaving it on all day. It counts up the calories based on HR, weight, & age. I wanted to see how many total calories it calculated me for the day. Anyone want to take a guess? (I will add that I did 45 minutes on the treadmill and 45 minutes on the elliptical machine today.)

I voted, but wanted to add, based on the amount of exercise I get in vs what you do I can say as a matter of fact it will be over 2400

Well, the verdict is in 2708. Just thinking about all the calories I can eat when I get to the maintenance point gets me all excited! I know that it's not exact, but that was pretty cool.

Was that a full 24 hours, including sleeping in the HRM? I could never sleep in it because I'd turn it off accidentally.

Yep, I realized that I still had it on last night. I went to bed kind of early I was really tired and kind of crashed in what I was wearing so decided what the heck I'd turn it on. The funny thing is the calorie counter stopped counting on it's own at 23 hrs 59 min 59 sec. I guess it won't count further than 24 hours.

That's a cool experiment. Wow, you burn a lot!! I think I am doing really good if I get close to 2400.
