My dd's school has called me for the second time today to tell me she has had 2 wetting accidents today. I just called her doctors office and they are scheduling her an appointment. I have the nurse assuring me that diabetes probably isn't the problem, but I can't help but worry. (For those that don't know I have 2 children with type 1 diabetes and frequent urination is a big indicator for diabetes.) She has an appt at 6pm and I got the nurse telling me when I say I'm going to check her blood sugar when I pick her up "not to do all that, let's just have her come in". You all know that I am poking that finger as soon as I see her. I don't care what the nurse has to say about it. Please say a prayer if you can. I hate being like this. I hate how absolutely paranoid I am about diabetes now.

HUGS! Sorry to hear this. I would be freaking out too if I were you. I'll be saying a prayer that it isn't diabetes though.

I hope everything from the doctors goes well. Also, maybe it is just a UTI...I used to get those quite often was I was 6-10 years old! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!!

Oh no! I really really hope it's not diabetes!!! I don't blame you for pricking her finger though, I would probably do the same thing!

Please keep us updated, I'll be curious to see what your dr says. As much as I hope it's not a UTI, that would be "better" than diabetes!

Big sigh of relief! I just checked her blood sugar and it was 108 so I feel so much better. I am now back to normal mom thinking of it's probably a UTI so she's still going into the doctors. I hate that my kids are going to grow up remembering me as the mom that poked them all the time, but just the same I'd rather be safe than sorry and I have poked myself plenty of times. Thankfully the needles are really fine and don't hurt that much. Thanks for your prayers. Much appreciated.

well i hope it all works out and if it's a UTI then that's an easy fix... if she takes bubble baths that can surely be the culprit

You know she didn't even have a UTI so I have no idea what would have caused it. He said vaginitis maybe, but I don't know about all that. I'm not going to worry any more unless it continues to be a problem. Thanks for your support.

I hope it was just a freak thing Teresa! Just, FYI, I would be just as "paranoid" as you if 1, let alone,2 of my kids had diabetes! You are such a good mom!
