Okay, ladies, we all have excuses for why we DON'T exercise, but I've been thinking that maybe we should change our thinking around and come up with some excuses as to why we DO exercise. Maybe we can come up with some good motivation for those of us who are lacking in it.

Gee, can you tell I had my DH interrupt my workout multiple times this morning and I feel the need to justify my time away from him and the kids to spend it on myself and exercise. LOL

My excuse to my parents who will not let me use the tv in the living room is, "do you really want me to be as non fit and healthy as you two?" Also, "this is the only tv in the house w/ on demand, by me some work out dvd's and I will work out in my room. Then to my hubby, who has been telling me to work out, "hey this was your idea, not mine."

LMAO.. that's a good one.

The reason why I want to workout and become healthy again is my kids. I was starting to get used to popping nuggets in the microwave and cooking a bowl of mac n' cheese and calling it dinner. I know better than that. I know my kids need to eat healthy and in order to get them to eat healthy they need to see mommy and daddy eating healthy. I dont want to ruin their lives because it's convinient for me to go throw the drive threw and get them a happy meal. That's very irresponsible of me.

Anyway.. so yeah.. I want them to be healthy so that means I have to get healthy.

You know what was amazing. I never thought my kids would eat a peanut butter jelly sandwich on whole wheat (and i'm not talking about that enriched whole wheat crap.. i'm talking real Whole wheat) .. but they have and they are actually eating more of their sandwich. Before, they would eat about half a sandwich and smear the other half on the table or something.

It feels so good watching them eat now.

Oh.... my excuse. I like being able to eat and it is so much easier to increase your exercise than decrease your calories. If I workout an hour a day I can eat a ton without guilt.

My excuse is that I need to exercise so that I can live. I was not living when I was too tired to play outside with the kids, make whoopy with DH lol, or better yet leave the house...HECK the COUCH for that matter. I need exercise to make sure my heart is healthy, because if I was feeling the way i did at 26, I can't imagine how i would have felt at 46 or 56 or 66 ...IF i even made it that far.

My other excuse...i needed to exercise to lose weight so my son would stop telling me that my butt was REALLY big, but no one elses was lol

AND...I need to exercise to have a good reason to buy cute workout clothes and nice sneakers lol

you know.. that was another one of my reasons. My daughter (3) is just now grasping the concept of weight and why some people are bigger than others... so before she has a chance to say.. mommy why are you so fat? and so and so's mommy so skinny?... I'm gonna make sure i'm one of those skinny mommies so that I dont' have to give her a lame excuse. :
