So this week AF is due, and I'm so nerous about gaining weight. I have gained before while dieting and AF visiting and I have lost before while dieting and her visit, so is there anything I can do to insure no weight gain? Extra water? Stay away from Salt? ANYTHING??? My goal is to be somewhere in the mid 170's by March 28th, my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and I will be seeing tons of family I havent seen since I was a kid and I really want to look decent by then. Any help would be great!!!!

I would say try and lower the sodium intake and bump up the water.
But, if you DO gain try not to stress- really! The gain from AF is normally water weight... it's not true fat gain (unless you have a bad week, of course )- so it would come right off the next week!

I had the same worries and ending up losing 3 lbs but gaining 1 back due to AF. I say keep up your healthy eating/exercise and everything will be alright!

I would not try to fight your body. I almost always gain weight when AF is around. I just don't step on the scale those weeks if I'm not up to seeing the number be up. How about you skip this week's weigh in and bust some butt on exercise so the next weigh in will look really good to you.

i would say high water, low salt and keep working out even during the storm... I didn't gain weight during my last period and i worked out thru it.
