I need a good pair of tennis shoes. I have a pair I thought were good...but they are killing me on this workout. I've been going bare feet because it hurts less but now I'm getting shin splints from running and jumping jacks on wood floors. Any suggestions?

New Balance makes awesome sneakers. They make them wide too which is awesome because I have wide flat feet.

i have flat feet and wide feet and i am susceptible to sprained ankles and stuff (i've had 2) and this is why i hate running and doing certain exercises. I went out to DSW shoe warehouse and found a pair of new balance on sale from 80 bucks to about 50...they feel great and i haven't had any pain in my feet since.

I kept buying other shoes and they sucked...

I'm also a 10.5 or 11 wide with flat feet---I have custom orthotics, so I can put them in any wide shoe. Have you tried an orthotic?
