Why is it as soon as I get the kids detoxed from one holiday and all its candy another one rears its head!

The kids have started their valentine's day parties this week in their activities and classes as well as school.

Luckily for me, I do not find it a temptation. I only like really nice chocolate so as long as no one buys me a heart shaped box of fine chocolates I can resist (and I've already told DH to not dare to) but the kids are candy crazy again and I feel like I just got them calmed down from all the Christmas junk. And of course next up is Easter

lol whoa re you telling! I'm not a fan of chocalate at all. It's the candy ( starbursts, lollipos, etc) that always do me in lol. Ds is only 2 so all his candy comes home... i may toss it (but put aside a couple of pieces for him)so it won't be a temptation to me lol.

i wish our society wasn't centered around food and such...when bringing or giving food/goodies I always opt for a healthy alternative.. I want to make someone feel good, not guilty for indulging.

the candy doesn't tempt me too much but my DS who is two has discovered "CHAW-CO-LOT". It's really hard since he has three older siblings who love candy and we try to limit his he throws such a fit when he doesn't get it all the time.
