I check my scale every morning. I need to stop. I tend to get depressed if I'm not even down .2 for the day.

I think I should lock my scale in the trunk of my car or something....

I'm also a habitual scale checker.
I've seriously considered throwing mine away. After all, I'm toning my body while I'm losing body fat so the scale isn't going to properly reflect my progress.

I stepped on mine this morning and it said 148 lbs. Heck yea, that felt good but I know perfectly well I can step on the stupid thing tomorrow and it could say 149 lbs.
That hunk of metal and plastic messes with my emotions waaaay too much.

Yeah that can be a ball and chain. I've been there and it's so depressing.

The number will be higher like when you eat more the day before than normal, even though you are within your calories or points or whatever. It's hard not to obsess about it all the time when it's what you want the most! I would just take it one day at a time. Force yourself to skip the scale one day. Put it in a closet somewhere. If you feel like you have to the next day, at least you made it through one day. Try to make it more days in between following that. I think you can eventually kick the habit. GL
