From Prevention magazine ( www.prevention.com)

1. do am crunches_ can do this in your bed by drawing knees up to your chest 25-50 times ( burns 20 calories)

2. walk one time around the supermarket before you begin shopping (up to 375 calories)

3. hide to do exercises around the house when you find one, do it (up to 240 cals)

4. pace, keep moving while sitting, tlaking on the phone etc ( up to 350 calories)

5. unload groceries 1 bag at a time ( up to 80 calories

6. During comercial breaks, get up and exercise. ( 220 calories in 1/2 an hour)

* also, it says it's a good idea to weigh yourself everyday to help you lose weight. " Daily monitoring helps identify the behavioral slips that cause weight gain." Do you agree with that?

Daily weigh-ins may help some, but I find myself obsessing over every little tenth of a pound, and then I end up giving up and binging. Once a week weigh-ins work much better for me.

I love weighing in everyday.. gives me a sense of accomplishment if the scales either goes down or stays put.... and if it inches forwards i work harder during my workouts.

I weigh in a few times every day...mostly when I wake up and before I go to bed. When going to bed, i am usually heavier than in the morning.
