where you finally realized you needed to lose weight?I would say 3 for me...

1/ My dad finding out he has diabetis
2/ ppl asking me when the baby is due ( i carry all my weight in my stomach, everything else is skinny (except for the butt i guess I'm alright with that lol))
3/ I went into a bathroom stall and no lie, one leg was by the toilet paper dispenser and the other was by the other door. They seriously make those things for skinny minis! lol

1. My DH looking at me like I was gross every time I would eat something really unhealthy.

2. My youngest son playing with my belly fat. Seriously, he thought it was fun, like Play Doh.

3. Looking at my mom, seeing all her health problems, and thinking I didn't want to end up with diabetes.

1) Dh, who is thin and healthy looking, came home with a report of high cholesterol and BP (BP runs in his family)

2) Looking at pictures of myself eating all the time and not recognizing myself

3) Avoiding visits to see family and friends because of the way I looked, especially going to my home town because I was always a nice size and fit.

4) Running into a crush from H.S. visiting from California and thinking about how he must be relieved that he didn't make any moves on me past holding my hand

5) My MIL was looking better than me and once upon a time i gave her my big clothes, this time she was giving me hers, and they were even bigger than the big clothes i was giving her...

My boys love my belly lol I have a lot of excess skin and stretchies so DJ loves to grab it and tickle me...Jaylon used to give me zerberts* lol.

My landlord asked if we were pregnant, and one of DH's 7 year old cousins started calling me fatty all the time. That and my 5th miscarriage finally got me to admit that my weight was probably an issue.

1. Feeling blah all the time, even after 8hrs of sleep. It felt like a chore to get up and do anything especially with the kids.

2. Avoiding mirrors, pictures, anything that revealed how I looked.

3. My daughter, 3yrs old, finally asking why some of the mommies are bigger than others. I didnt want her to ask me one day.

4. Feeling embarrassed stepping out the shower while my dh was in the bathroom with me.

5. My size 14 clothes starting to feel tight and me thinking of the next time to go shopping for something that fits looser... I cant' believe I was even considering going passed a size 14.

I look at my daughter and wish I had enough energy to play with her all the time.
I look at my daughter and want to watch her grow up
My daughter plays with my belly fat too! LOL! And it annoys me.

And finally...I have a whole wordrobe of EXPENSIVE clothes waiting for me to return! Since DD and now we have 2 house payments, I'm lucky to shop at Marshals!

The biggest thing for me was realizing that I either had to buy new bigger clothes or lose weight. I'm glad to say that I no longer need bigger clothes as mine are now a little loose on me! The next time I buy new clothes it will be because I need smaller ones, not bigger! I realized this in November, but waited until Jan 2 to start dieting because I didn't want to feel like a failure during the holidays and just give up.

My cholesterol is high (and I know it comes down when I lose weight) and my DR put me on a statin and it gave me a terrible headache and body aches so he tried a different statin and it did the same thing so I realized I can not take them so I'll have to lose weight and exercise to bring my cholesterol down naturally (I am also taking some natural supplements to help that don't give me any side effects)

My DH had 3 stents put in his arteries over the summer. He is thin, active, had normal cholesterol, normal blood pressure, etc. It was a BIG shock to find out he was literally days from a heart attack. One of his arteries was 99% blocked. Needless to say we have needed to change our diet quite a bit since we didn't eat that bad before now we have very little meat and saturated fat in our diet.

I am tired all the time and I don't want to be. My DH who is 11 years older than me has a ton more energy than I do and my kids have a ton more than him. I'm always the one who says can we just sit here? I don't want to be that person any more.
