I am not sure, but I just bought running shoes. When I tried wearing them for aerobics, they hurt my feet. I guess it could be because they're brand new. I only bought those because they were on sale and actually in my size. I really wanted cross trainers.

They are completely different shoes. Get a pair of both. Cross trainers offer support for lateral movement and keep your toes flatter. This is important if you are doing kickboxing with a heavy bag. I know because I broke my big toe on a heavy bag because I only had my runners with me when I went to Texas when my Mom died. I hit the gym across the street from their house to vent some frustrations and on the first kick I broke it. So, definitely don't wear runners for kickboxing. LOL Runners have the toes kicked up a little so that you have more traction at the toes to push off while running. They also have more front to back support which is great for running and not so much side to side support like you need for aerobics. So, while you can wear runners for aerobics, they won't give you the support you need. And you can wear cross trainers for running, but you won't be as fast.

o....k. lol.

I can only get one right now most likely. CRUD. I have a pair of nice tennis shoes but they apparently aren't that great for my feet. I think I may be MORE confused now. LOL

THanks for the advice.
