I don't understand and its so frustrating. The only thing I can think is the more weight I loose the bigger my "shelf" gets. Having 2 sections has left me a huge shelf
Other then plastic sergery is there anyway to be rid of this? Nothing to date helps.
Have you done a body composition analysis to determine your body fat percentage? Sometimes we lose weight but it is muscle mass and not body fat so we lose fewer inches. That much weight, though, should have been a lot of body fat lost even if you were losing muscle at the same time. Other then that, I'm guessing you've gotten significantly smaller in the upper body or legs and just haven't seen the results yet in the midsection? That is often the case with my female clients. Unfortunately, if that is the case, there's not really much you can do other then keep going. You can't pick and choose where you lose body fat from, so you just have to keep doing the cardio to burn it off and know that eventually your body will have to pull it from your midsection.

I've deffinitly noticed it in the face, arms and the bust *went from a triple D to a large C.
My legs seem the same, they've always been muscular.
My tummy its hard to explain. I know its smaller, because the skin is a lot looser and hangs lower, its just that the skin seems to take up the same amount of room. I have 20Lbs to loose to get to my "ideal weight" but I wonder how much of that is skin.
I've gone from a BMI of 35 to 26.5 so its deffinitly gotten better.
It could be a lot of skin, actually. A lot of people who lose dramatic amounts of weight (and 50 pounds qualifies!) have problems with excess skin afterwards. You can try some of the creams out there for firmness, but they usually have limited results. Although, I have seen some people have good results with Dr. Murad's stuff. I use to manage a gym owned by an guy whose wife ran a salon/spa. They used Dr. Murad's stuff for facials and body treatments before it was out on the market for public use and I saw several clients who had dramatic results from the cellulite and scar treatments. I still have some of the scar stuff he gave me to use where I was attacked by a dog and have a scar. Anyway, if it is excess skin, the only 100% effective treatment is surgery. I'd wait though, until you are through losing weight so you don't have to do it again.

I think it also depends on how heavy you are to start with. I know for me when I first started I had to lose over 30 pounds to see a size change and then as I lost I would only have to lose 5 to 10 pounds to see sizes budge. You look like you are really tall so I suspect this is why your size isn't changing as quickly. If you're losing a little all over it just might take a little longer before your size starts changing. Just stick with it. It'll happen! Oh and congrats on the 50 lbs lost! That's awesome!
LOL me tall LOL Thank you I'm actually really short only 5" 1'
I think its more the skin unfortunitly. I started at 197 and am now at 147. I would love to get to 130-135. We'll see how that goes. Before I had kids I was 111lbs. I gained 28lbs with my first pregnancy, and 20lbs with my second, kept it on both time, but also gained almost 40lbs while BF, as DD#2 has weaned the weights finally started coming off.
I am not wanting to get that small again though.
I havn't felt this good about myself in years though.
Well I wanna say to lose that much weight you have done better than I ever have anyway. The only time I have ever lost weight was when I was too stressed out (work), too busy (work and college), or too grossed out by food to eat (first got braces, lost 20 lbs in no time). I gained 60 lbs with my son, going from 145 lbs when we got married to 202 the day I delivered him to 182 when we went home from the hospital. The lowest I have been since then is 179 lbs and now I was 208.6 this morning when I weighed. Trying for #2 now, so I really hope I don't gain much next time.
Anyways, the point is that you are already an inspiration to others. Keep trying and maybe you will get back closer to the shape you want to be. But losing that weight you have already improved your future health so much!
Thank you so much. I never thought I could loose as much as I have. I found for me the biggest difference was because of meal planning. I plan all my dinners for the week. I know what I am having and can ajust my other meals accordingly and I found its easy to track what and how much I am eating that way. It also has the added bonus of saving $$ on groseries
Congratulations on the weight loss. If you dont mind me asking, how long did it take you to lose those pounds.
I know that a lot of gyms have body sculpting classes which helps to tone and tighten up your skin. Other than that, I dont know of any other way besides surgery to tighten up your skin.
I do know that the way in which your body put on fat, is the way in which it will come off.
My upper body has lost tons...i 've lost nearly 50 lbs and i have gone down 2 pant sizes but that just started happening. It will happen, but i've been at this for a year and some change (with some down falls) It should come soon.
