I was thinking that I should start doing some real exercise, since I barely did anything all fall and winter. Practice will be starting next month, and regular season will be in May.
Does anyone here do any sports specific training?
Hokie Momma, In the leagues that I've played in we're not allowed to play if we're pregnant. I did play up until I was 8 weeks. IMO league organizers and coaches don't need to know that someone is pregnant in the early months. I didn't tell the team until I was 3 months preggo. I just scheduled myself to work on nights that we had to play, that way I didn't have to tell them why I wasn't there.
I don't think that our league has that rule. It's just a town parks & rec league and they disclose that any sliding, or diving is 'at your own risk'. I am the coach, so it's hard for me to dodge games! I think I will play until late May and we are going to start telling everyone on Mothers Day, so that will only be about a week after the season starts
I really love softball, so it will be hard to keep myself on the bench, but I'll do what's best for peanut
Oh BTW ... it's slow pitch too, so that makes a HUGE difference!!
I know what you mean about slow pitch, that's what I play too. I had a rough slide when I was about 6 weeks pregnant. My entire side was all sandy. Luckily I didn't get hurt, I know it was stupid of me to slide like that.
