What I wrote in the post in which Amy (think) about giving something up.... OMG! Now I'm embarrassed... I sit here & read what I'm reading & I'm thinking "WHAT A PIG!" Now that I think about it, I use to hide food & eat it when no one was around or when I was upset. I'm trying real hard to get over it & I think whatever I'm doing is working. So far NO more over eating....

Good for you.

If you are like many over eaters though you have very strong will power, but it comes in surges. When you set your mind to it you can do anything.

My husband is an over eater, he goes to OA meetings and like any person with an addiction has had slip-ups. He is currently doing well, although he had some candy today, which will often set him off, so fingers crossed he sticks to it tomorrow.

His triggers are sugar (particularly soda) and white flour.

I still do it. I will buy chips or candy and eat it when I'm away from my husband. He would always makes comments (I know he doesn't mean it in a bad way) where he is just talking how unhealthy I'm eating all the junk. Don't I want to lose weight. So, I buy it and put in the cabinet because he doensn't look to see what food we have. I will eat it and get rid of the bag.

I do it a lot when I get depressed. This is why I'm still the weight I'm at now. I'm trying to take my control back now and lose this weight.
