Yum made some asparagus soup last night and it's AWESOME. I'm not a huge soup lover, but it's really good. And I got a KILLER deal on asparagus for 97 cents per pound this week so did that and added some onions and garlic and chicken broth, pureed and then added the asparagus tips whole. SOOO good and was cheap and easy to do too .
Had that with some mixed veggies of asparagus, zucchini and fresh garlic, and a piece of garlic basil talapia and I'm stuffed!

Anybody can cook. Doesn't take talent to follow a recipe. I don't typically make things up, unless it's sauteeing veggies, but everything else I just follow a recipe.
But this was one onion cut up and 5 garlic cloves cut up, sauteed in a pan with some Pam for like 3 minutes. Added 3 cans of chicken broth and 2 bunches of cut up asparagus (minus the tips). Cooked it for about 20 minutes, then pureed it all in my Magic Bullet, put it all back in the pan, added the asparagus tips and 1 tsp of pepper and let it simmer on low for another 10 minutes or so. It's pretty fool proof.
