I have been playing around with the idea of getting a personal trainer, I met with one today and for 12 sessions it will cost us 360.00. I know that is not a lot at all when it comes to personal trainers but part of me feels guilty for spending it because we are currently trying to get out of debt and I am a SAHM.
At the same time, I could also just choose to go to the boot camp class at the gym I go to, continue my running, and then maybe go to the ab class once a week as well.

Ugh, I just don't know. I already told the trainer Dh said it was okay, but now I am having second thoughts. What would you do?

Have you tried joining a fitness support group? I have one on facebook that has really helped me learn to track calories and keep up with my daily workouts. We post our 'sweaty mugs' each day and discuss our food intake and meal plans, as well as offer support to each other. And I love that it is ladies only! This is working really well for me as a SAHM trying to save money while my husband is deployed! I couldn't justify spending money for a personal trainer, especially when trying to pay of other debts. You can get into shape all on your own, with or without a gym membership!

I haven't tried a fitness support group other than this and the running moms board on babycenter. I might look into that though! I like the idea of 'having' to be accountable to someone-I think it would help with my motivation.

Does anyone know of any facebook fitness groups?

I've always gotten great results using personal trainers from time to time-they keep me accountable and make me dedicate time to work on myself. I think its a really great idea

What are your goals?

Is s/he a good trainer? Have you seen them in action?

Sometimes I wish I could get a trainer to have them to check my lifting form if I could afford it, as it is I get my fiancé to check.

If you are the type of person to skip workouts then a trainer would be good because you wouldn't want to miss something you paid for.

A coworker of mine paid for a physical trainor and she thought it was worth every penny. She is someone who looked for excuses and didn't always push herself and she said that wasn't an option with a trainor. I would love to have a trainor to keep me motivated, to help with my running form and just keep me accountable.

I love to have a personal trainer if i could afford this action, because mostly personal trainers are quite expensive and it'll charge you lot's of money for work out.I like the idea of 'having' to be accountable to someone-I think it would help with my motivation

If you need the accountability then I would say do it. If they are a good trainer you would also take a lot of good info away with you when you were done that you could apply to your own work outs later. I would love to have a personal trainer if there were any out here.
