Hello All

I used to post here after my last baby and I was trying to lose the baby weight in time for my wedding Well its been a couple years since then and I need some motivation for my new challenge - I've signed up for my first full marathon in October. I have run 5 half marathons and am looking forward to the new challenge.

I was training well and then we found out we were pregnant which was a surprise (we had sex once without a condom and not near any time I was supposed to O!). Anyways we were super excited and I was going to train less and just run the half. Unfortunately we miscarried at 10.5 weeks and I just took meds on Thursday to initiate the miscarriage as my body wasnt doing it on its own. I'm excited to get back into training and to move on from the loss.

The stress of the miscarriage has added 5lbs to the extra 5lbs I was already struggling to lose. So I would like to lose 10lbs before the race. My race is in 8 weeks so I need to kick it into high gear without causing injury. I continued my long runs while I was pregnant (with my dr.s ok) so I have been logging the miles, but I really slowed my pace as I didnt want to be out of breath. So I need to get my speed back up and continue the distance runs.

I look forward to getting to know you all!

Oh, honey, I'm sorry for your loss. We also lost a surprise baby in July- I should have been 12 weeks. I felt that being able to get back to training helped me, too. And I've lost 7 pounds in the month since it happened, so that's been a relief.

Where is your marathon going to be? That's so exciting- I have yet to run my first marathon. So, congrats on that and I hope you will keep us updated on your progress... I look forward to getting reacquainted!
