What keeps you motivated to eat healthy, exercise, train, etc?

That I want to be around for a long time, to see my son graduate high school, get married, have kids, to grow old with my husband, to enjoy my life. If I didn't make changes it would have killed me eventually...sooner probably rather than later.

Running is what keeps my sane. When I'm stressed with home life or work it always feels a million times better after I get out to run. My running especially my long run on the weekends is my "me time." I am very motivated to beat my previous race times, although even when I dont the races are still so much fun.
I also like to feel good about myself and how I look. When I start to put on weight and my clothes dont fit as well then I'm motivated to get back to a place where I feel confident.

I love when I get out walking because I can clear my mind and have me time. Even when I do my walking video I feel good because afterward that sweaty feeling is the feeling of accomplishment, lol.
Also, for me I'm tired of being overweight...only if it's just a little bit.

Not wanting to be fat again, enjoying the look of muscle definition, controlling my anxiety and depression naturally.

Running is also my sanity saver. The stress just melts away with each mile. I love the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction when I have a good, long run. Plus it's is also my me time when I'm out and running, and my time I connect & talk with God the most.
Upcoming races, and seeing results in my muscle tone and feeling good about how I feel and look help too. And then my kids...they seem so proud and when they ask "how far did you go?", "wow, you went that far?!" and my oldest commented after a commercial during the olympics that the announcer said "you may not be a marathon man..." and Jacob said "But mommy's a marathon woman!"...that melts my heart.

Remembering how I used to look when I was a dancer in college and how good I felt about myself then.

recently my only motivation has been a combination of encouragement from my hubby and my desire to encourage him to get more active. I'm finally feeling like running is a joy again- the last few months have been difficult.

Fitting into my clothes has been my motivator lately. I so wanted to put away my maternity clothes and thankfully i packed them away this weekend. Exercising is also my time for myself and I enjoy it. i get up early to work out so it is really the only hour of the day that I have for myself.
