How many total hours have you personally spent in labor? (Add the hours for each baby if you've had more than one...)

10 hours of good labor with #1, then about 23 hours of preterm labor that was unsuccessful in being stopped with #4, so that's a total of 33 hours of labor for 4 kids, only 2 I actually labored with. (3 of the 4 were c/s)

Seven kids and I've spent a total of 71 hours in active labor. All I can say is thank goodness that wasn't all at once, LOL!

You know... this may sound like a silly question and Im probably gonna sound dumb LOL but what do you constitute as "in labor" is it from the first contraction? how long you pushed? Its hard for me to be sure based on 2 of them being induced lol.

14 hrs total and it was enough for me that one ended in c/s and #5 was a repeat c/s

7 hours for baby #1 and 3 1/2 hours for baby #2 so 10 1/2 hours total. My second baby came very quickly because I was already 3 cm dilated with him.

Actually, that's a really good question. I don't know the official answer, but to me.. "active labor" is when you go from "wonder if those contractions are real?" to "we're having a baby tonight!" Does that make sense? Maybe it's just me, but each time- I was "in labor" for several hours with irregular, easy cx before things actually got really moving.

3 1/2 hours for DD (I woke up from a pretty good sleep and my water broke, I didn't feel any contractions at all before that) and 2 1/2 hours for DS (Contractions started at 7:30 am and were close enough together for me to go to the hospital. Lost DS's heartbeat with the monitor so they had to break my water. Things progressed pretty quickly after that.) So 6 hours total.
