There are lots of ways to keep track of your progress when improving your health, and I think a lot of us probably use more than one way to measure. How do you measure your progress?

Right after Jacob was born I measured success by the scale but now that I have reached my goal weight I measure success now by how toned my body is. My belly is still stretched out from my pregnancy so right now I am trying to continue to eat well and do lots of ab exercises with cardio to tone up my midsection.

I measure by inches first and then weight.

I am 45lbs over the weight I was pre kiddos, but inches first because the scale is tricky haha.

How I look mostly and also size/weight. I also gauge by how much weight I can lift and how fast I can run a mile.

I use how I look in the mirror, measurements, and the scale.

I've always kept track of my weight, but mainly my measurements. I found an easy calculator (at about.com) to estimate body fat and that was what I paid most attention to- even though it was just an estimate. I also kept track of my average running pace a week at a time. But, now that I'm pregnant, I'm back to just tracking weight.

I go mainly by how my body looks, how tone my muscles are and my endurance. I do occasionally weigh because when I start to look better, I have lost some weight.

I like to use weekly measurements plus pant size, but I always revert back to watching that silly scale
