I was until about noon today! I really hate DST! I wish we could just be like Arizona and not have to do it! Anyway, after getting Kendra on the bus and Josh situated with breakfast, morning cartoons, and toys...DH and I went back to sleep and slept until 11:00. We both feel much better now!

i spent 2-3 weeks putting LO to bed early to prepare him for the time change and it totally worked...he's still waking up at 5am every morning even with the new time...that part i wish would have changed
i cant stand daylight savings either. i hear there's some petition at whitehouse.gov to stop it. i should look into signing that thing!!

I was...feeling better now. I had to take a nap yesterday. Now when Kayley is going to bed at 8:00 she doesn't want to sleep because it's not as dark. The other day she fell asleep after 9:00. Last night I told her to just go to sleep and it would be darker soon....I know this just gets worse in the summer. It's kinda hard to convince your kid to sleep when it's not dark.

Yes! It has really affected my moods. I think I am grouchy because I'm not getting as much sleep as I'm used to.

Nope, we don't participate in it, so no changes here.

Meghan, does Arizona (or parts of it) go to Pacific Time during Daylight savings Time?

The entire state of Arizona (and Hawaii as well) do not participate in daylight savings time. So, we never change our clocks (so, there's no "going to", we simply don't do anything). Others around us change, so techincally we are on "Arizona Time", but for others to understand, yes, during daylight savings time (so March-November) we're on Pacific time and off of daylight savings time (November-March) we are on Mountain Time.

I love it! But I work every weekend at night, so I got out of an hour of work Saturday night And so far, there haven't been any major issues with the kids and sleep.

That's just even more confusing, LOL!

Monday was rough on everybody, maybe because of the time change or just possibly because all the kids except the 2yo went to the dentist. I kinda like it staying dark later, after months of it getting dark before dinner time.

I love it!! It stays lighter outside much later so we can take the kids outside and play. Makes me really look forward to spring and summer.

But spring is still a long way off for us. We got over a foot of snow in the last two days, and the snow is now about 4 feet deep, taller where it drifts. Wish I could fast-forward to May! LOL
