Do you stretch before going for a walk or run, or before using a machine like a treadmill or elliptical? Can you share some of your stretches?

I probably should do some light stretching before I do my walking workouts...but I never do. I do stretch quite a bit after my workouts though.

I don't normally stretch until after either, even though I know I should..

Sometimes I'll do some dynamic stretches as a warm up. Things like good mornings, windmills, arm swings (swimmers). Usually, though, I do deeper stretches after my workouts.

I go through spells with stretching. Sometimes I am really good about stretching but lately I haven't been. I only know the basic stretches -touching your toes, grabbing your elbow to stretch your arm, stuff like that. I usually just do them after I workout.
