I just started doing a little kickboxing in some of my workouts (I'm using the 10 minute solution knockout body dvd right now) and am loving it. While doing the Ultimate Upper Body chapter today I noticed that my weighted gloves were doing a lot of rubbing (almost sliding) against the top of my hand. My hands almost felt raw after doing that chapter. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I could do to protect my hand from the gloves? I really wish I could find the pink gloves that they use in that video as they have straps that go around the wrist and not just the hand like mine do.

Here are the gloves that I have:

Here is a pic of the gloves that they use (I don't want to have to buy the Wii kit just for the gloves. LOL!):

Are they too big? Sounds that way. Maybe you could buy a pair of those cheap winter gloves that are tight and cut the fingers off? I have a pair from Walmart from a few years back that look more like the ones on the Wii set. Mine are similar to this: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Everlast-W...-Glove/8056509

Amy has a good idea, putting another pair of gloves underneath might prevent your problem.

That sounds painful! Hope you find a solution that works.

Definitely not too big as they cut in and leave marks around my thumb and feel tight around my middle and ring fingers. I think it is just the way they are built with the closure more at the bottom of the palm rather than the wrist. I was thinking about putting another pair of gloves on under the weighted gloves (as long as it isn't too tight) or maybe taping my hands. I also did some more looking and found a pair on amazon that has the wrist closure, so might just buy a new pair.

I agree maybe putting a pair of lifting gloves underneath them. I have a great pair of weighted gloves and tried to find them to post for you but they are sold out. That does sound painful.

I've never used weighted gloves so I don't really know how they feel. Have you read any reviews on these gloves? I think I would research them to see if others are complaining about the same thing. Sometimes you can even find solutions to problems in the comments/reviews. If it were me I'd probably buy something else but I tend to do that.

So....I decided to take the easy route and just ordered the other weighted gloves. I had to order some other stuff from amazon and needed the extra bit to get the free shipping so just went ahead and bought them.
