I have been very depressed for several days. It finally dawned on me that I'm on AF and AF really affects my moods. I have barely gotten out of bed the last two days and skipped two workouts now. Most of the weight I gained, I've lost again. I woke up in a pretty bad funk but I'm feeling a little better now. I looked at my body and my body told me it wanted me to work out. So that's what I'm going to try to do today. I'll be sure to check in later and let you know how it goes.

Have you tried taking vitamin D to help? I found it helps me.

I'm sorry Patty - that really sucks.

I have a similar problem. A few days before AF EVERYTHING irritates me. I've found that Evening Primrose Oil capsules help. I try to remember to take them each day, sometimes I forget, but it really makes a difference when I take them.

Thanks gals. I was thinking about adding Vitamin B6 but hadn't thought of the other two. I also have bipolar disorder so I imagine that my bipolar has a lot to do with my moods but my period just makes it so much worse. I still haven't worked out yet but dh knows how I am feeling so hopefully he will help me get through today's workout.

I'm so sorry, Patty. I hope your workout helps! In addition to the above, you might also research Flax seed oil or Cod Liver Oil. Do you supplement with D? Being up north, you probably need to, just because it is difficult to get from food sources and IMPOSSIBLE to get enough sunlight when we live so far north. Anyway, big hugs to you, dear.
