I think it can be exercise but I don't consider it exercise. I think you can be totally wiped out exhausted from housework so it has to be doing something, but I'm just not sure that it really does a whole lot as far as improving your fitness. I think it probably depends on what you're doing.

I wore my heart rate monitor just for fun while cleaning house one day and I did end up burning more calories than usual. I used to log it on MFP, but considered those calories I could eat back. I've stopped doing that though.
