I am having a really hard time fitting it into my routine. My strength training takes an hour and a half to two hours of my day usually. I could trim down how much I am doing but I like my routine and want to see results this time around so I really don't want to change that. I just can't seem to make time for cardio too. I decided this week I was just going to focus on getting back into a good routine and next week I would try to squeeze some cardio into my week.

I have two ideas for how to get my cardio in and would like your opinions. One is to start doing 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. I could probably squeeze in 20 minutes three times a week. OR I could stick with 30 minutes and cut it down to twice a week. The reason I like to do 30 minutes is because I normally don't start feeling it till the 20 minute mark and then I will start sweating and feel like I'm burning calories/fat. But maybe 20 minutes would be better. I just really want to have some cardio in my routine. I have fat to burn! LOL.

I say do whatever works for you schedule. You do need some cardio in your program for variety and to make sure you don't plateau. I love circuit workouts because I can do a few minutes of cardio then a few minutes of weights the repeat. That's how I get in both my cardio and weights when I'm short on time.

Here is a good article on why variety is important.

You might look into HIIT.. high intensity interval training. You get more cardio in less time. 30 minutes plus would be my preference, too, but I think you have to find what will work in real life, kwim? The "perfect" routine will not work at all if you just can't do it.

^^^This! I have done a few HIIT from this website, they range in time.
Zuzka Light » Workouts

I wanted to try something new to see if I liked it before I purchased her HIIT 90 day program. It is only $16 on Amazon and the workouts are generally between 10-15 minutes + warmup/cool down. I NEVER thought I would want a workout that was 10-15 minutes to be over with sooooo bad. She is seriously soooo tough. I feel the cardio effects afterwards too. I really feel like I get in a very good workout in such a short amount of time. I love the dvds and I am sooo glad I bought them, especially on the days I am short on time. Try some workouts from that first link, and if you decide you like it then you can buy her 90 day program here:
