How much weight do you usually lose in a week (if/when you are trying to lose weight)?

When I have lost weight I rarely ever lose it quickly. I normally lose about half a lb a week. But, really I think that is good because usually when I do it that way it stays off. I can lose it faster, but not a whole lot faster without just flat out starving myself and even then I usually only can lose at the most 2 lbs in a week.

It really depends on the week, most weeks it's 1-2 lbs/week though.

Yup, I was losing 1-2lbs/week (averaging out to about 5lbs a month).

And now that's stopped Hoping it picks up again soon!

I agree, for me it's usually anywhere between 0.5 and 1.5 lbs per week. I so agree that when you lose it slower it stays off, that's why I don't beat myself up if I lose like 0.3 one week.

I find when the weight loss stalls, I usually trip myself up, eat a little more, or a little less to get the metabolism going, it almost always works.

This past wednesday I was down 4.8 lbs, couldn't believe it, I actually thought I would be the same since I had a 2 lb loss the week before, looked back over my journal, if anything I ate more than usual but I ate more often!

Mine's all over the place, it averages out to around 2-2.5 lbs/week. I started with a lot to lose so I think it'll probably slow down as I get closer to a normal weight.

I'm starting at the beginning.. so I'm losing on average 1.7lbs per week... but I've dropped as much as 2.5.

I now have to re-lose the 3 I gained while on my trip... and of course I'm sick so all I want are ice cream and Popsicles. BLAH Hoping the doctor has a solution for my throat

I shoot for .5 lb to 1 lb, but some weeks I lose zero, and some weeks I lose 1.5 lbs.
