time to choose a new one. Is it too soon to consider my current weight/measurements my starting point? Or should I wait until a month? or six weeks?

What do you think?

I consider my starting point the day before I gave birth. But that's just my preference, it really is totally up to you!

Since you are already starting to slowly do things I'd count your weight from after delivery but that is up to you.

I waited till my six week checkup to worry about a starting point, and with Shawn by the time I got to my six week check up I had already taken off all the baby weight and just had the excess weight to worry about.

If it were me I would give yourself time to recover and see where you are at in a few weeks, then start counting.

I would wait at least the 6 weeks to recover first....or however long you need. I lost a lot of water in that time frame and regained the energy I needed.

I used the weight I was the day before Jacob was born as my starting weight, but I really didn't even try to start losing weight until Jacob was 8 weeks. We were breastfeeding and I wanted to make sure that was good and established plus I was just too darn tired to exercise or try to eat healthy.

I'm using the weight from my last prenatal check-up. That's just what I do, but I don't think it matters. Use whatever makes the most sense to you. I like to think, "Hey, I counted it while putting it on; I'm going to count it while taking it off." LOL

Well, I still can't decide, LOL! Maybe I'll stick with the starting weight I've always used which is where I was back in 2007 when I first started tracking. For measurements, I don't know yet. I'm not ready to exercise or start tracking meals or anything, so maybe when I am, that's when I'll take my measurements.
