The wii game is requiring a significant amount of jumps and squats (and jumping from squatting).. with each one I can feel little elastic snaps in my bad tendon. There is no modify option, you do it.. or it won't go forward. I'm upset... none of this is hard.. but I'm too fat and too broken to continue *cries*

I guess I'll just do work outs 1 and 2 over and over again until I feel like I can go forward again, they had me dripping in sweat at least. Maybe #3 as well because it was all upper body. But losing the weight is NOT worth ending up back in the Cam walker again, cause then I'll get fatter.

I only made it 10 minutes into the 24 minute exercise an my foot hurts too much to continue.

I'm sorry

And fwiw, it sounds like its not fat, its your previous injuries, which can affect anyone.

Since the other workouts work you hard, don't look at it like a failure. You've made great progress so far! Keep with it!

So sorry you are hurting so bad. Sounds like the first 2-3 workouts gave you a pretty good workout though. Definitely don't look at it as failing. I've still got workouts that do that to me too. I have to stop part way through some of mine because my knees start hurting. (Old injury as well) Definitely not worth the risk to push yourself.

ITA with the other ladies. It sounds like you have injuries that most people don't have to deal with. I wouldn't beat yourself up but I might find another type of workout that might work better for you, one you can modify. We had a Wii for a while but I never did any fitness type things with it. That just sounds frustrating because you can't move forward.

I found this really interesting article on workouts for people in chronic pain (this may not be you but some of the things in there sounded like things that might work for you).
Best Workouts For Chronic Pain And Fibromyalgia - Prevention.com
I found the strength training section the most interesting. It suggested shortening the range of motion when you strength train so you're not going all the way down or all the way up. Maybe you could get a list of exercise together that you feel comfortable with and do a circuit with them. Or something like that and then just do some walking for cardio. I know that doesn't help you with the Wii game issue, but I think Wii may just have it's limitations.

It's more the fact I don't stick to workouts that aren't laid out right in front of me. That's why the Wii game was likely to be more successful than something I made up myself.

*hugs!* I'm sorry that you're having so much trouble with your injuries, but you've made so much progress already! Try not to be so hard on yourself!

To make it worse.. my new brace for my hand arrived today. Not only did they send the wrong brand. They sent the wrong size AND the wrong brace entirely! Now I have to wait to return it and get a refund so I can order it again. *throws tantrum*
