so ladies those of you who pay attention to the scale...here is an example of why the scale lies

yesterday I woke up weighed myself and I was 149lbs....today I wake up and weigh myself and I was 145lbs....so remember the scale can and will lie to you

Yeh my weight can fluctuate a lot but usually not that much. I think some people retain more water than others. Mine will usually lie to me but just by a couple lbs. Either way I try not to worry too much when it goes up a lot suddenly like that. It's usually water.

I never record a weight drop on MFP until I see it 3 days in a row so I know its not the scale lying, water weight, AF, etc.

Darn scales!

I record my weight everytime I get on the scale.. and I don't let myself get upset by a higher weight. I tend to drop large batches of weight rather than little bits at a time.

I weigh daily and it try not to let a high number here and there bug me. I've actually gotten pretty in tune with my body and can usually guess how the previous day is going to affect my morning weight. Scales do lie sometimes though and it's annoying lol.

Mine does that too, but it always goes the direction I expect it to go. If I ate the day before well it will be down from the day before, if I ate poorly the day before, it'll be up.

That's one of the main reasons that I started relying more on other methods of measuring. I do still weigh myself occasionally but I don't put much weight on what the scales say (pun not intended lol)
