When I first met with my trainer he told me that there are three things that are equally as important in a fit lifestyle- eating, exercise, and sleep. That last one is tough for me. Do you get enough sleep each night?

No, I don't. And I've often heard how important it is to weight loss, but it is just hard for me to decide to do it.

Nope. I was wondering how much of an effect it is having on my weight loss. DS is up every few hours still. And its hard to get back to sleep. We went through a really rough patch that coincided with my plateau. I'm hoping now that he's walking, he will start to sleep longer (although I said that when the melatonin evens out at 4 months, when he started crawling, when he started eating solids...so I'm not holding out much hope!).

I don't either, Hannah is usually still up once each night (at least), and Sophia is a lot of the time too. Then there's the fact that I can never get myself in bed before midnight.

It's hard but most of the time I am able to squeeze in 7 hours of sleep a night. I deal with bouts of insomnia throughout the year.

I have serious issues with insomnia. I take medication to help me sleep. My insomnia was horrible. I would go 2 or 3 days with next to no sleep. Now I sleep pretty well. If I can't sleep I take something and so that helps. I hate when I don't get enough sleep. I definitely think it affects all the areas of your life.

Nope, not most nights anyway. DS still gets me up some nights. I've wondered how much sleep impacts weight loss. I've noticed that my weight seems to drop more on nights that I get a good sleep than after nights that I don't.

I seldom admit this, but I love to sleep. I'd sleep 10+ hours every night if I could! Lately I'm sleeping like a baby... sleep an hour or two, up an hour, repeat.

I do believe sleep has an effect on weight loss. My sleeping is getting better, but not great. The past two nights, Anna has had a 6 or 7 hour stretch, but I might get 4-5 hours out of it. Then after that it's hit or miss...might be 2-3 hour stretches, or might be 1 hour. I'm hoping she's entering that period of sleeping better...at least until that 3-4 month sleep regression.

So Cam started walking. And the past 2 nights consecutively he's had a 5.5 hour stretch each night....AMAZING!!! Huge difference in my motivation and energy during the day.
