So next week I am having dental surgery - a tooth extraction and possible implant placement (not sure if they will do this part, it depends once they get in there...).

I will be on soft foods for at least a few days and could use some ideas on what to eat!

I plan to make greek yogurt smoothies with fruit, and I'll make soup...but I need a bit more variety. Any suggestions welcome! I am allergic to pineapple, and I loathe mushrooms.

Lol, that's why I need suggestions! I lived on sugar laden stuff when I had my wisdom teeth removed and I don't want to do that again!

Totally forgot about scrambled eggs and squash!!!! Yum! Thank you!!!

I'm going to make mashed potatoes too, sorry should have added that to my original post

Are ripe bananas considered a soft food? Other than what was already mentioned, I don't have many ideas!

I think you've pretty much covered it, LOL! When DH was planning for his oral surgery (this was a few years ago) he was excited about getting to eat jello all the time... Oh, he was so sick of it by the end of the second day, LOL! Umm.. mashed sweet potato would give some variety if you like it. There are lots of different ways to flavor smooties, so maybe that will keep you from getting bored with them. Good luck, I hope the procedure goes well and you recover quickly!

Everyone has mentioned most of my ideas lol. Maybe some protein powder for shakes since there's not much in the way of soft proteins?

If it were me, I would probably take whatever I made for dinner and throw it in the blender with a little water or beef/chicken broth until it was soft. That, or eat soup all day long. LOL. I hope everything goes well.

I laughed out loud at Patty's suggestion. Nothing against you Patty but that just sound gross to me but I'm also pregnant so everything sounds gross right now.

You might try some cottage cheese. that would be a good source of protein. I hope your surgery goes smoothly and you are back to normal in no time.
