Last week was a really bad week for me. My bipolar disorder is starting to consume me and I am not sure what to do. I am taking my medication regularly but I am still falling into these depressions that just put me out of commission. I lost 4 or 5 lbs last week because I was so depressed I barely got out of bed and barely ate anything. I didn't exercise. I still feel down this week, but my period started and I think that this may have been from my PMDD. I don't know what to do to feel better. I know exercising helps me but when I'm like this I can't even think about getting out of bed, let alone exercise.

I don't know what I want, maybe just an ear to listen to me. I'm setting some new goals this week and I've asked a friend to help me with my goals (not jut my fitness goals) for a couple weeks so I am going to see if that helps me. I'm just so discouraged with myself.

I'm sorry that you have been feeling this way. I hope everything works out with your goals, that's always a good place to start. Please keep us posted. I know once you get that first workout/first goal in it will be one step closer to getting out of this slump. Do you think something that happened triggered it?

i'm sorry you're having a bad time. I was wondering about you last week as I hadn't seen you around.
Don't be too hard on yourself. We all have bad fitness/diet weeks and yours was caused by something you really couldn't help.

We're all here for you! I hope you feel better soon!

Patty I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time. I know I can get in a funk every once in awhile also. Just tell yourself that things are going to get better and make an effort to make them better. Having your friends help you is also wonderful. I know that I need extra motivation alot of times and coming to this forum helps motivate me. I'd love to have some friends in real life to give me some motivation but unfortunately all my friends are fat overweight moms..lol. I've tried to get them start a stroller club or something to help them lose the weight but they are very unmotivated.

Just always remember that we are here for you whenever you need us. I so wish that alot of us lived closer together so we could have workout parties when we needed some extra motivation.

I have PMDD and I think that was what triggered it. I have an antidepressant I take just for my PMS but I don't think I started taking it soon enough. I am going to try to start taking it the second I notice my moods swing next month because it does help.
