I don't try new recipes that often but I will make up my own fairly often. Today's food experiment wasn't so good. I have decided that goat cheese is disgusting. I wanted to try something different so I bought it instead of feta cheese. I made a wrap with tuna, chopped onions, apples, avocado, a little mayo and then I ruined it with the nasty goat cheese. I still ate it but it would have been so much better with feta cheese. The goat cheese has a nasty after taste to me.
Anyway I try new stuff all the time. If I see a fruit or veggie at the grocery store I've never had I like to try it.
I try new recipes for us usually once a week. Sometimes they are the greatest ideas I have ever come up with as far as recipes and other times they are fails Fails are few and far between, but I had one tonight dealing with a chicken dish, and I learned my lesson!
I try new recipes quite frequently here lately. I did a 21 day detox program last year and it had all kinds of food on it that I "thought" I didn't like but was surprised that I really did like them.. now I eat them ALL the time! So I decided that I would start trying new things (or things I think I don't like) all the time.
all the time since I am in a freezer meal mom group (we make 4-5 meals for each other and then exchange montly) I am always getting new foods I never had before its awesome! I love trying new things and I love making new things myself as well....This month I have 4 all new recipes that I have never done before so I'll have those 4 for myself and 4 from each of the other 3 ladies as well so a total of 16 new things LOL
