Today I did a search on water retention because my tummy tends to get bloated really easily and my weight has started fluctuating by 6 and 7 lbs (like in less than a week) so I wanted to see if there was anything that I could do about this. I found this article which I found really helpful.
Bodybuilding.com - All About Water Retention: Get Ripped Fast!

The biggest thing I want to try is drinking a gallon of water a day. I want to see if this makes a difference in how I look and how my weight fluctuates. So I am going to add drinking a gallon of water a day to my goals starting next week.

I find the more water I drink the better my weight loss goes. I can definitely tell the days I don't drink as much.
I try to aim for at LEAST 2L but have really been trying to up that lately. Most days I'm up to over 4L.

I find using a cup with a straw seems to help get it all down. I have a 30oz starbucks iced coffee cup that I refill and use most days.

Expect to spend A LOT of time peeing the first few days,, but your body adjusts. I fill a gallon jug every morning and do my best to finish it... used to be before bedtime but these days I'm up at night anyway, so I just drink away.

Fresh lemon also helps with water retention. I think it has to be fresh squeezed (not bottled) though.

Interesting article I need to up my water intake, especially with the high temps we've been experiencing lately.

Water is one of the most important things.. a good basis is half of your body weight in ounces. I have a HUGE jug I fill the night before and leave in the refrigerator and I keep it with me all day long. Some days it is easier than others to get it all in but when I don't I can tell a difference the next day.

Hope you notice a big difference!

I hate that bloated feeling. What really helped me was cutting out wheat/gluten. Also drinking enough water. But the wheat/gluten made such a big difference...I didn't even realize just how bloated I felt until I stopped eating it and felt so much better.

I usually do good with water. I tend to drink 84.5+ ounces a day. I just need to cut back on the sodium.

If someone wants a great way to use the green tea as a flushing system its not as easy as heat up water with a tea bag.

If you heat your water, let it sit for a few minutes to cool then add 2 tea bags, let that sit for 5ish minutes (the longer the better) then drink it, it works wonders. I do that but I find myself constantly in the bathroom until I adjust. But if you try it, it actually works. Which is why I try to drink so much water a day because it really helps flush your system.

Interesting. I try to drink alot of water but I don't think I get a gallon a day. Let me know how it works for you. I might have to try that.
