Today I went out, finished week 2 of c25k and walked another 5 miles after finishing that. 5 minutes from the house my jogging stroller pretty much died. I bought it used so it was already pretty worn and I'm pretty sure the flat I got today is unrepairable unless I buy a whole new wheel. And at this point it's just not cost effective to buy brand new wheels for a worn out stroller. So I limped it home (thank goodness I was close and not miles away) and had to dip into my new clothes fund to order a new stroller. This is the one I ordered.

Baby Trend Expedition LX Swivel Jogger - Walmart.com

It should be here Wednesday or Thursday, which is pretty fast and I'm glad about that. But I'm kind of bummed since I'm supposed to start week 3 of c25k on Monday. I have a Chicco stroller that is part of the travel system with DD's old infant seat but I don't think trying to run with it is going to be much fun. I guess I'll try it and hope for the best.
Why every time I get in the groove does stuff like this happen?

I'm sorry April! That's a huge bummer that your stroller went out. I hope this new stroller works well for you though.

I bet you'll like the new stroller so well that you want to use it all, the. time.

We found a jogging stroller at the Goodwill for $20. It is a North Face model, so it is old but a pretty nice one. John is too small to sit in it yet, but Lucy helped me take it for a test run. It sure changes things, the extra resistance and I bet the mechanics of the upper body. It will take getting used to, for sure!

I probably will pack up the travel system stroller and use the jogging one for both walks and jogging. After using the lighter smoother jogging ones it's hard to go back to the clunky heavy one.
