If your week starts going downhill do you normally try to finish it up and get through it or just throw in the towel and start over on Monday?

I am the worst about giving up and just starting over on Monday. Even today I'm still in a funk and not sure how I'm going to get my workout in but my goal is to just get through it somehow.

Sometimes...but I try to avoid that most times by getting in some sort of work out at least one day on the weekend so I really do not feel like its "starting over" just another day.....I think my issue is going 2-3 days without working out makes me not want to do it....so I just try to avoid a long break in between workouts LOL

I almost always work out on the weekend (it's usually one of the easier times for me to fit it in), and I feel discouraged when I don't.

That was exactly my attitude over the weekend with regards to my diet. I kinda ended up with a cheat weekend. Sunday I ate cheesecake for breakfast, frozen pizza for lunch, and raisin bran for dinner. Very much NOT my normal fare! But, back on track with the diet and IF protocol today. I don't feel bad for cheating, I think it is needed every so often. And I didn't gain, so it must not have been that bad!

No, I don't do that anymore. I used to, though- in the previous times I tried to lose some weight. Now I'm actually succeeding, though, and not once have I thrown in the towel for several days and had to "re-start". A big help has been changing my official weigh in day to Tuesday. It REALLY helps to keep on track all weekend. I don't want to see that gain after the weekend, so I stay on.

I used to do that and ended up ultimately gaining weight. I had to change that mindset immediately! Now I think about what so many health experts and doctors and nutritionists have said about going off plan and putting off getting back on until the next day or after the weekend, etc. They have always said "Start again now, with your next meal, everything you put into your mouth and body count. Don't wait until when it's convenient, do it now."

I think it depends. If I missed a workout, I just keep on going. If I missed a few workouts and had some high calorie days, it takes more to get me back on track.

I guess from what you gals are saying I need to change my thinking and just start over when I can. I have been so unmotivated, beyond unmotivated, just dreading exercise lately.
