Do you think it's okay to take breaks from working out or should you try to stay consistent? Do you ever take breaks? If so, how long and did it help you?

I haven't been working out lately and have been dreading getting back on track. But, I think the break has been good for me and hopefully when I get back on track my focus will be better and I will feel recharged. I don't think taking a break for more than a couple weeks is a good idea, but life happens.

I try not to take breaks. Although I've been on a big long break because of the morning sickness..lol. when I'm not pregnant I don't like to take more than a few days off from working out at any one time. I feel like I lose fitness gains that I have made when I take a long time off.

I try not to take breaks, for me it's a slippery slope and I have to be careful.
I did take time off when I had family visit but made myself get back on track quickly after. When dh first gets home I'll probably slack some but try not to let it go to long.

I think the break a few weeks ago for family was a good thing, I was getting a little burnt out and a few days of helped refresh me.

It can help refresh, but a super long one isn't good for me as I fall off the wagon. Super long would be like 2 weeks or more of absolutely no activity.
