What is your biggest struggle with eating healthier?

Do you have troubles trying to eat healthy or does it come naturally?

I used to struggle a lot with portions. Now I'd say more so snacking is my nemesis.

Eating well does NOT come naturally at all!

Snacking is the worst for me by far. Healthy meals mostly come natural for me, but not so much healthy snacks.

I don't eat "super" healthy. I think I eat well. We eat fruits and veggies and yogurt and nuts, and we don't eat fried foods for the most part, but we don't eat as healthy as we could. I'd like to work on that but it will need to be gradually because I have a house of picky eaters.

Desserts is a big deal for me. DH LOVES dessert every night (and sometimes twice a day - after lunch and dinner) so that makes it harder for me to pass up when I see him with a bowl of ice cream or some chocolate, candy or a cookie, ect....

I'm not very good at healthy eating as we are more picky eaters. But, I'm trying to make healthier choices & not always go back to pizza, tacos, enchalidas, pastas.... and choose better options.

I have been a lot better at snacking though; Thanks to whole natural almonds, carrot strips, and string cheese.

I love the healthy foods so its not that...but I also love foods that are not so healthy for you LOL

Munchies and snacking are killing me!!


Every night when we finally sit to watch tv... That bag of chips in the cupboard SCREAM for me....

This week so far... I've resisted once.

During the day I'm good.

It comes naturally for me, this time. Any other time I've tried to lose weight, I struggled.. but I know I did it all wrong. Now eating healthy is honestly natural for me, and rather easy... because I enjoy it, it's my way of life.

But I do struggle sometimes with eating out. I tend to make crappier choices.

portion size is my issue. I grew up a fat kid in a fat family who all were served and ate large plates of food.

I will say, that since I only get about 20 minutes of DH's time in the evening to talk... and it's during dinner I find myself eating less and less at supper time, and then being able to go until 1 or 2am (which is my bedtime) until I NEED something to eat.
