Hi everyone! I hope you don't mind me joining you guys here.
My name is Kelsey, my husband's name is Kris, and we have two lovely boys Jakob and Mikah. I am a co-host of the August 2013 DDC. I just had Mikah 2.5 weeks ago so I can't work out yet, but I will be as soon as I am cleared (probably my 6 week appointment)
I am working on eating well in the mean time. Here is me 1 week postpartum and 2 weeks postpartum
I gained 50 pounds during my pregnancy and was a healthy weight to start so my goal is to lose the 50 pounds. I am down 18 so 32 to go. I also have a long way to go past just the weight loss, I really want to get in shape. I had complications in both of my pregnancies, which were pretty close together, so I was unable to work out or really do anything through them. Especially this last one, I spent most of it on bed rest. So I have gone over 2 years without really working out much. I love running and I have a great BOB double jogging stroller that I can't wait to try out!
Thanks everyone. I gained 52 pounds with Jakob too and lost it all just in time to gain it all back lol. Back to square one. I'm going to start weight watchers next week and then my husband and I are meeting with my old personal trainer and I'm probably going to start a 12 week challenge with him in October. My husband is working out with me too, so I have good motivation at home this time. looking forward to the extra motivation and support from this group
Hi Kelsey. Welcome to the board! I gained 50 (or more) lbs with most of my kids but it's always come back off. I workout with my dh too, although he gets me annoyed a lot because he skips workouts but I still like having him to workout with me when he does.
I hope you find the board supportive and motivating. We try to keep everyone motivated to stay on track and the ladies really help me when I get to feeling discouraged.
Missing my Mommy Weightloss & Fitness girls. You're the best!
