Do you think your appetite adjusts as you eat less?

I struggle with having a big appetite and I wonder if my appetite will decrease as I get used to eating less.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Definitely. I used to eat wayyyy more than maintenance. And then I was eating at a deficit (adjusted for breastfeeding) and it took me at least a week to get my calories back up to maintenance + breastfeeding when I found out I was pregnant. I say at least a week because I felt gross eating that much at first. I upped it 100 calories a day or 2 and that helped. I'm sure the reverse would work for reducing your calories, to an extent.

Most definitely! Now that I am used to eating 5 small meals a day I can tell when it hits 3 hrs since I last ate. Now if I try to eat a bigger meal I get full really fast. It was hard in the beginning but I adjusted pretty quickly
