What are you trying to accomplish with your workout routine (lose weight, lose fat, gain muscle, gain strength, etc)?

What kind of things are you doing with your workouts to meet your specific goals?

I would like to gain muscle, lose fat, and gain strength. I've kind of learned that you can't do it all at the same time. So, the program I've decided to use spends the first 8 weeks on building muscle and the last 4 weeks leaning out and burning fat. I'm hoping this helps me meet my goals.

During the winter months I'm thinking of using a different plan and spending more time working on building muscle and strength and not so much on burning fat.

To be honest, I exercise mainly just to be active and healthier. The bonus to that is that it allows me to eat more calories during the day when I exercise. I went from being a sedentary sloth to hiking/walking nearly everyday this past summer/fall. Now that winter is upon us, I go to Zumba classes constantly.... everyday that they're offered at my Y, unless I need a rest day. I find enjoy being more active now. I like feeling like I have a hobby or something all to myself, with no kid around (she's in preschool when I go, or otherwise in-gym babysitting). LOL. Now that I'm more active I feel like I want to challenge myself more and more, and I really like that feeling.

I'm wanting to get rid of a little fat (specifically in my abdominal area), tone up, and to just be more in shape. I try to do a combination of both cardio and weight exercises (mostly body weight, resistance bands, weighted gloves, and light hand weights).

My primarily goal will be weight loss after the baby is here. And after that, to stay in shape and be able to actually play with my kids and not be out of breath. I want to look good too, like toned...just because I have kids doesn't mean I'm dead

I just started a new program 8 days ago and FINALLY busted through my plateau. This program is set up like this:

Monday - Total Body Cardio
Tuesday - Upper Body
Wednesday - Lower Body
Thursday - Pilates
Friday - Cardio
Saturday - Total Body (weights and cardio)
Sunday - Yoga

I am trying to lose the last few pounds and tone up.

I want the fat off. I want long lean muscle and energy. that's my goal right now. I don't really care for the number of pounds but I set a goal of 12# I thought It would be a good number to start with.

What are you trying to accomplish with your workout routine (lose weight, lose fat, gain muscle, gain strength, etc)? the overall goal is to lose fat. Weight will fall off and muscle will come on.. but it's the fat that's most important.

What kind of things are you doing with your workouts to meet your specific goals? Nothing right now, this is the winter that wont freaking end. Once the snow starts to melt I'll be aiming to hit the streets for some walking. I'd like to get my mile down to under 15 minutes, and I'd like to be able to do 2 miles in half an hour (I'm always slower when I do more than one mile).

While I live here in this little town, my goals will be short and speedy with videos and weights thrown in, as well as things like squats.

Once I move it will be longer slower walks, and sometimes walks with big dogs... but less days per week since my walking buddy only sees her husband on Fri, Sat,Sun so we don't do walks on those days (I usually take the kiddo so she can do some with him lol).

I'm also considering buying a bike. I have an old pelvic injury that makes biking difficult, but I'm thinking with the right seat, I could make it work (I need a butt seat, not a groin one). There are numerous biking/walking trails near Reme's house.. and I've got a mini van so it's not hard to move it around.
