I don't know what my deal is. I do great. I know the Atkins diet isn't healthy, but it's what I do.. and I stick to it so great during the day.. but at night.. at bedtime.. I always want a freaking soft drink, so I get a mountain dew.. then when Brody wakes up in the middle of the night, it's usually ANOTHER mountain dew and a poptart or something... then when we get up in the mornings, I start doing better again.

I do believe nighttime snacks and junk food eating is my downfall. I don't know how to make it better I feel like I just HAVE to have a good drink before going to bed and when I first get up....... anyone have a cure for this besides self-control? Obviously I dont have much of that. lol

I really dont know except maybe trying diet Mtn Dew and some sugar free pudding instead of the pop tart ??? Good luck, I tried the Atkins diet and I had a hard time w/it too.

im not too savvy on the atkin's diet, at least not the new ways of doing it. so im not sure what you can have or not. i suggest to anyone cutting out soda completely. it helps with weight loss SOOOO much. but that is along the lines of the self control way. how about sugar free candies to suck on, or try chewing gum. most of the time when i think im hungry, im just wanting to chew so i bought lots of gum after christian was born.

Maybe try a diet soda or something like that, or even the crystal light stuff if you like it. As far as snacking just pick a snack that is allowed on Atkins. I do South Beach so I am not at all familiar with Atkins allowances on food. But maybe do some pepperoni crisps or something like that.. They are good and may feel your hunger and should be allowed on Atkins. Just take a handfull of pepperoni and put on a microwave safe plate...pop in the microwave or you can even put them in the oven until they are crispy.

Gosh I could have written that!! I do so well until the kids go to bed, then I can't stop. Sometimes I think I don't eat enough during the day so I'm hungry. If soda is your downfall try a diet one sweetened with splenda. They are sooooo much better. Also minute made has light fruit drinks and they barely taste diet. the lemonade and guava citrus are really good.
