Hey everyone!

I thought it was time that I make my way over to his board.

When DH and I started dating four years ago, I weighed 117lbs and wore a size 4. By the time our wedding rolled around, I had gained 20 pounds. When I got pg the first time, I weighed 135 lbs. I gained 10 pounds instantly, but lost the baby. That next cycle, i found myself pg again at 145 lbs. I gained 36 lbs with my son. I vowed that I will not let myself get pg at that weight again.

Well . . . I got pg in June, weighing 145 lbs. Again I lost the baby. Got pg the next cycle at 148lbs . . .lost the baby.

DH and I have decided to put ttc on hold for a while. I decided that it was time to get serious about weightloss. Since then, I've put myself on a very, VERY strict diet. I am down 12.5 lbs in six weeks. I still have 20.5 pounds to go til I reach my goal weight, but I know that I can do it.

I want to hit that 130lbs mark for my 30th birthday in two weeks. That's just 5.5 pounds away.

Sorry to be so long-winded. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hey Val!

We can get through this together! I'm hoping to be at 130 lbs by October 6th. My long term goal is 115 lbs. That may be a bit lofty, but I know I can do it.

As far as what I'm doing, I've completely cut out snacking and junk food. Soda is an addiction for me, but I've cut that out, too. If I get a chocolate craving (which is all the time), I eat a Hershey's SmartZone bar. I've grown quite fond of them, actually! LOL

Just this week, I started adding exercise to the equation. Once I build my stamina again, I'll go back to running or maybe even spinning again. It's so hard to find time to exercise with a 1 year old and a husband who travels.

What are you doing to help lose the weight? Looks like you are close to your long term goal!
