This is a vent post really. I'm so frustrated w/my lack of weight loss!! I should've lost more weight by now, but instead I've gained. I'm frustrated cuz I'm eating right, excercising & drinking tons of water yet, I can't seem to lose the weight. 2 years ago exactly I lost 30lbs, and the weight just melted off, I was doing the exact same things as I'm doing now but this time around its much harder & I dont understand why I have been seriously thinking about having my Dr put me back on phentermine to jump start my weightloss, I dont want to get so discouraged & quit again, I'm sick of quitting!!! UGH!!!

I know firsthand how hard it is to not see the results you want. I've definitely had that the last couple of months. It's very frustrated, but I've already made up my mind that I am not going to be fat anymore. Could you possibly be eating too many or too few calories? If you haven't already, try tracking your calories for a few days...measuring your food to make sure you're getting accurate info. Also, could you try WW or something? I couldn't remember if you were on it already.

Don't give up!

i was gonna ask the calorie question..lol

I know that on Sparkpeople once you lose weight (10lbs or more) you need to re adjust your calorie info.

Gaining weight can also mean your gaining muscle, though its discouraging to see the scale go up even when your doing everything right, it does happen. When that happens to me, I do my measurements and I see that Im still losing something just not weight.

I just had this happen this weekend..I did tae bo 5 days straight and still gained weight. So I went on a 2 day binge to drown my sorrows..Im back at it now..I did lose inches 5.5 overall in 2 weeks so its coming off just not as fast as I would like

I also try and remind myself I didnt get all this weight over nght, therefore I cant expect myself to lose it that way either...For me it took my 9mo to gain this, I have to give myself at LEAST 9mo to get it off..

Hang in there chic..We all go through this same thing at least once in our weightloss journey...

HUGS

Thanks ladies. I dont count calories, & I'm not doing WW. I am NOT giving up, I'm so sick of being fat & in pain. So I am not giving up, I'm just so frustrated. I just want to see the scale move in the OTHER direction, and I cant uderstand why 2 years ago the weight came off so easily and now its not.. I'm mad at myself for allowing the weight to come back on too,

Thanks for letting me vent. I do feel a bit better. I'm going to really take a look at what I'm eating & re-evaluate it.

I use Sparkpeople to log in my cals, its a free site and you can manually enter in your nurtritional info from your items. It also tells you how many cals you should eat in order to reach your goal...You might want to try logging in for a few days just to see how many cals your actually eating..

I know when I think oh this is 1 serving size, wehn i actually weigh or measure it I find that it was 3..ack..lol

Gl hun its so hard to lose weight..just know that we have all BTDT..and mine was just 3 days ago..lol

Dina, I really, really think you should try counting calories for a while. Some labels are really sneaky about how they label their calories and you'd be surprised how many hidden calories there are that you don't think about. For example I got Steven a prepackaged cinnamon roll for breakfast the other morning because I was in a hurry. He reads labels now to do his insulin, but I always check it first since he's new at this. The label said 27 carbs (sorry don't remember the calories, but it doesn't matter since it's not the point). He want to enter his insulin and I said look again - what is a serving size? The serving size was 1/3 of the cinnamin roll so really it had 81 carbs not 27. The same thing goes with calories. I think if you try calorie counting even for a week you will see the results you are looking for. If you have a baseline for what you are eating then you can tweak it up or down when you're not seeing the results you want.

Thanks Teresa, I have decided to start counting calories. I am using Sparkpeople.com to help & for 2 days now its been great. I lost all the weight I gained as this morning, so that makes me happy. I really hated counting calories, but w/SP it makes it easy for me to keep track.
